The PJHL has announced its Players of the Week for the week ending Feb. 4.

Thomas Popa, Goaltender, Richmond Sockeyes – Popa has not lost since Oct. 19 and in the past week, it was two more wins – giving him 25 on the year – including a shutout. He was forced to make just 12 saves for his fourth shutout on the year, a 2-0 blanking of visiting Langley where he was 3rd Star. His other start for the week saw him make 22 saves and take 1st Star in a 4-2 road win over Ridge Meadows.

Max Fowle, Goaltender, Mission City Outlaws – With an overtime win and a shutout, Fowle continued his outstanding season over a pair of tidy outings. Fowle got the better of Abbotsford in a 3-2 overtime road win, making 41 saves and earning 2nd Star. The Maple Ridge product stopped all 31 pucks that came his way in a 4-0 home win over Aldergrove, his fifth shutout of the season.

Adam Winters, Goaltender, Abbotsford Pilots – Winters was a factor in both games for the week, earning game star each time out. The 6-foot-2 Surrey native made 32 stops and was 2nd Star in a 4-2 road loss at Langley and put in overtime in a goaltending duel against Mission City’s Max Fowle, making 31 saves and taking 3rd Star in a 3-2 setback at home.
